Based in Whangarei and distributed throughout Northland, as the title suggests, the Advocate is a voice for Northlanders. Northland is one of New Zealand’s most rural areas, with Whangarei as its city centre, the region’s economy is based on agriculture, forestry, fishing and a growing tourism industry.
Savvy, a monthly gloss fashion magazine is inserted into the first Saturday paper of each month, when the paper is distributed to all of Whangarei.
