Call for Entries – The Newspaper Ad of the Year 09/10
HOW TO ENTER
- Simply send a hi-resolution pdf of your newspaper ad to ideas@nabs.co.nz.
- Include in the email body all credits, as well as appearance publication and date.
ENTRY CRITERIA
- All qualifying advertisements must have appeared in a New Zealand newspaper between 1st June 2009 – 31st May 2010.
- The Newspaper Ad of the Month winning ads are automatic finalists in The Newspaper Ad of the Year.
- Ads may be submitted by individuals, advertising agencies, media agencies, publishers and clients.
- Should your entry/s be selected as a finalist/s, proof of appearance will be required.
- All entries are subject to client approval of reproduction. Responsibility for client approval rests with the relevant agency.
JUDGING CRITERIA AND WINNING AD
- Entered ads will be shortlisted for judging by a leading industry panel.
- Judges will select finalists based on a standard set by the judging panel and will include The Newspaper Ad of Month winners. Judges are not allowed to select advertisements from their own agencies.
- The final selection is at the discretion of the judges and the NAB and no further discussion will be entered into.
- The Newspaper Ad of the Year winner will be announced at an industry function to be held in July 2010. The winner will be publicly announced in a special newspaper ad, on the NAB website www.newspapers.co.nz and via press release to the industry.
- The money prize allocated to the winning ad will be awarded to the specific team or individual who are named as the originators of the ad by the relevant agency.
- The Newspaper Ad of the Year winning creative team will receive $10,000 cash prize.
- Where the cash prize is won by a creative team the prize money will be divided equally between the members of that team.
- Any tax or other legal charges becoming due as a result of the prize are to be borne by the winner(s) of the prizes.
FURTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS
- All advertising must comply with the Fair Trading Act 1986.
- All advertising must comply with the Advertising Codes of Practice as issued by the Advertising Standards Authority.
- All production costs are the responsibility of the advertiser.
- All material is to be submitted in accordance with standard specifications and material deadlines.
- The entrant agrees that NAB will not accept responsibility for errors or omissions in any reproduction.
- The entrant assigns copyright of any entry to NAB to publish the entry at such times as NAB deems appropriate. Under no circumstances shall the entrant, or anyone through or acting on behalf of the entrant, require the payment of any royalty by NAB in respect of the use by it of such entries or material for any purpose.
By participating entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
